Location

Jazz House is located in the Algiers Point neighborhood on New Orleans’ West Bank. Algiers Point is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and is rich with local history and architecture. Algiers Point was a major player in the dawn of the jazz era, and many of the neighborhood’s Creole-style houses were home to influential jazz musicians. La Marie is no exception, thus earning its nickname Jazz House. Visit us to learn more about our tie to jazz history.

The home is conveniently located less than 15 minutes to downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. The Algiers Point Ferry is just a 10 minute walk from the house along the water. The ferry will shuttle you across the Mississippi River and drop you off in the French Quarter.

Whether you decide to drive, rideshare, or ferry to get where you’re going, nothing is very far from La Marie. Algiers Point is close to the hustle and bustle of the city, while also offering a quaint escape with local shops and restaurants for you to try. We encourage you to take a walk along the levee, as there are gorgeous views of the river, downtown, and iconic monuments like St. Louis Cathedral! You can also catch some beautiful landscapes of the city from the home’s 2nd floor, where large bright windows grant you views of the Riverwalk, the Crescent City Connection bridge, and downtown New Orleans.
